Muslims Try to Shame Christians into Becoming Welcome Doormats
London’s Sadiq Khan calls on Christians to “love their Muslim neighbor”—no matter how vile these neighbors behave—and how the First Crusaders responded to the same trick.
Who stands to profit from—and thus is keen on promoting—Doormat Christianity?
Anyone and everyone who hates and seeks to subjugate real Christianity.
Such people are keen on convincing Christians that their faith requires them to capitulate before all forms of outrage, injustice, and exploitation—without resistance, boundaries, or pushback—all in the name of “turning the other cheek,” loving one’s enemies, etc.
The latest example comes from London’s Muslim mayor, Sadiq Khan. On March 16, he allowed thousands of Muslims to take over London’s iconic Trafalgar Square for a communal break of Ramadan fast. A large scale spectacle followed—replete with Muslims sprawled all over the streets in prostration as Koran verses, including “Allahu akbar,” blared out in Arabic over megaphones.
As a result, several British Christians and conservatives rightfully accused the Muslims of intentionally engaging in provocative acts of domination over British, historically Christian, public space.
In response, Sadiq Khan, who enabled and attended this mass Muslim show of power, expressed his “disappointment” that some Christians were failing to get in line and behave like doormats. In an attempt at reverse psychology, he said that
the Christians I meet love their neighbour — their Muslim neighbour — and I’m disappointed that this year these people have decided to criticize Iftar in the Square…. They’re going to the lowest common denominator, but I think British people are better than that.
It’s worth noting that Khan comes from Pakistan, a Muslim nation notorious for despising and persecuting its Christian minority. Christians there are openly treated as, at best, second class citizens; their churches are under attack—in August 2023 alone about 40 were destroyed in Jaranwala; Christian women are regularly abducted, raped, and forced to convert, with the authorities looking the other way. Any Muslim who wants to “get even” with any Christian can merely accuse the latter of “blasphemy.” If the authorities don’t arrest and throw the accused infidels in a dungeon, the Muslim mob will tear them apart—as in November 2014, when they tortured and then burned a Christian couple alive on the false accusation that they had burned a Koran (the woman was pregnant).
Despite this, here is Sadiq Khan, a Muslim man whose formative worldview is based on a Pakistani epistemology—one that sees Christians as inferior—trying to remind and “shame” Christians about the need to “love their neighbor”—that is, about their need to continue lying down before the Islamic advance and forthcoming takeover of the UK.
